The Commissariat aux affaires maritimes (CAM) together with the Institut luxembourgeois de la normalisation, de l'accréditation, de la sécurité et qualité des produits et services (ILNAS) would like to bring to your attention that a notification has been issued today on the website SAFETY GATE about Rescue line-throwing appliance from NINGBO ZHENHUA, type JH7-230-91.

Since the product does not comply with the requirements of the Marine Equipment Directive and could put the user in a life-threatening situation, every Master shall carry out an inspection of the Rescue line-throwing appliances present on board.

The CAM should be notified about any Rescue line-throwing appliance from NINGBO ZHENHUA - type JH7-230-91 found on board and the replacement of this non-compliant equipment must be organized as soon as practically possible.
